We ended up not doing much more than just chilling in Wanaka, as we had been doing so much driving, so we just had a simple dinner, and slept early and headed off to the Fiordlands the next day.

Wanaka - Johan finds a new Friend
As a stopover between Franz Josef and the Fiordlands - as the drive would be WAY too long otherwise - we had booked a night at a B&B by Lake Wanaka. It turned out to be a really nice room in a house owned by a couple with an amazing Chocolate Point Siamese cat, so I have now decided that if we ever get a cat, we should get one of them :-)
