After our fab experience with BA it seems Quantas is the complete opposite. Our flight to Melbourne is at 20.55 (Singapore time) today. So we tried to check in online last night to get decent seats, but the website kept telling us our names were different to those on our booking reference. Which after Johan completed many calls to the Quantas helpline we worked was because Trailfinders has entered our firstnames as 'Victoriamariemrs" and "Johanmr". Well done to them.
Eventually, we spoke to someone who kind of helped but then the website still refused to work so we have to go early to the airport and battle it out with them there. Kind of annoying as we were going to get the seats with extra leg room.
Whilst we were in battle with them on the phone we found out that there are 30 people in front of us in the queue to upgrade for 3 business class seats, so it looks like our previous success won't be repeated. Which makes sense being as we were soooo lucky last time!
I can't say I'm much looking forward to the 8 hour flight and then changing for another 2 hour flight to Adelaide, but it will be excellent when we are in Australia and we are both looking forward to staying with Simon and Chantal and seeing the kids again, we miss them back in TB!
After one night with them then we are staying in Adelaide overnight and picking a hire car up early and driving it to the port and getting the ferry to Kangaroo Island. I'm very excited about seeing the island and all the animals there!
